Athena reveals Odysseus, suitors conspire
Telemachus reaches Eumaeus’s lodge and sends word to Penelope, while Athena transforms Odysseus so he can reveal himself to his astonished son. Father and son weep, count the suitors, and plot revenge before Odysseus resumes his beggar’s disguise. Meanwhile the suitors, having missed their ambush, debate killing Telemachus outright until Amphinomus urges caution, and Penelope confronts Antinoüs.
